At Beck, we’re delighted to have renewed our commitment to be a Carbon Neutral Business for another year. We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to measure and offset our carbon footprint, to become Certified as a Carbon Neutral Business.

We hate greenwashing… that’s why we are excited to reveal that, as a team, we have reduced our emissions by over 3.4% despite growing turnover by over 20% (2021 vs 2020). We’ve reduced our environmental impact by 11.78 tonnes of CO2e – in practical terms that is equivalent to:

•  Cancelling 15 flights from London to Los Angeles

We recognise that this is only a minor win in the global battle against climate change, but firmly believe that sustainability starts with each one of us.

In short, we wanted to make some changes to how we run the business, making it even more environmentally friendly. And that’s just what we’ve done!

 

• Sourcing locally – currently over 70% of products lines on order come from the UK!
• Reducing paper trail – over 60 Beck customers now have electronic delivery notes only – saving over 1250 pieces of paper per year
